After seeing Sanja Ivekovic’s SWEET VIOLENCE exhibit at the moma, I can honestly say she reminded me of my own work. Her usage of media and found footage, juxtaposition of images. One thing I’ve never liked about most feminist art was how the female artist uses her own sexuality and beauty to promote that work, whether forced or done un-consciously.
